Master in Scouting and Video Analysis (Catholic University of Avila)

With the "Master in Scouting and Video Analysis (Catholic University of Avila)" we will learn to analyze both collectively in the 4 moments of the game and in the ABP (Standing Ball Actions) of the rival team, as of our own team. On the other hand, analyzing individual, sectoral, intersectoral and complete structure situations that our team adopts as the rival. Also learn to perform individual analyzes for recruitment.

Then there is the topic of Video Analysis, that once the section of cuts of the videos is done, we can join or extract what we need and see the part we want to do a deeper investigation.

This material is indispensable for the first level teams that require this system to evaluate their rivals and see what type of game or system they use .

The mode of play that adversaries have, especially the great teams that compete internationally, must be studied in order to deal with them .

Title Description :

Title Denomination : This degree has the same validity outside that within Spain, since it is a curricular degree of studies, and protected by the Organic Law of Universities. A specific homologation or accreditation is not required, since Universities have the capacity to issue their own degrees, as set out in article 2. g) of the Organic Law of Universities 6/2001.

  • - Credits : This title will have a total of 60 ECTS credits.
  • - Hours : The course has 1,400 teaching hours, of which 60% are typical of agendas with the help of supplementary material, in animated presentation formats, demonstration videos, articles and contributions from experts, the rest of the hours correspond to the follow-up of the course, always based on real cases that will be corrected and tutored by those responsible for the course.
  • - Duration : It has a duration of 12 months from the beginning, with continuous evaluations to validate the learning and improvement of the contents throughout the course.
  • - Calendar : The calendar is open at all times to the student, as the student can customize their evolution and follow-up of the course in coordination with the tutors, programming a timing from the beginning of the enrollment. The delivery of the activities and final project of the program would be corrected by the teachers of the course. Overcoming these will result in the activation of the following topics, in this way, students will have exceeded the terminal objectives of each area to pursue the next.

The program is divided into 9 training units that have an average duration of 6 ECTS credits, including the activities of that unit. The teaching methodology is given by the course's own agendas, accompanied by demonstration videos by teachers and experts, as well as with complements of visual presentations, articles of interest and interviews with experts. All this material gives the student optimal possibilities to achieve a deep and attractive learning that together with the continuous evaluation of activities by the teachers and the continuous monitoring tutorials make the methodology attractive and especially efficient for our students. The Master will consist of a final project of 6 ECTS credits based on real and practical cases that will complement your training in an advanced way. The agenda of this program is:

Access and Registration Requirements:

This university master's degree can be taken by:

  • Graduates / Graduates in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences.
  • Qualified trainers.
  • Technicians with football experience.

The accreditation of these requirements will be validated at the time of registration by the admissions department of FUTBOLLAB.

Course methodology and evaluation system

Directed work: Learning community (Virtual Classroom)

Induced discovery activities (Case Study) Activities in which the student will be able to carry out contextualized learning by working, in the Virtual Classroom and in a collaborative way, a real or simulated situation that will allow him to make a first approach to the different subjects of study.
Interaction and collaboration activities (Forums-Debates supporting the case and the lesson) Activities that will discuss and argue about different topics related to the subjects of each subject and that will serve to guide the process of induced discovery.
Practical application activities (online group) It includes problem solving, project development and similar activities that allow applying the conceptual, procedural and attitudinal aspects worked in other parts of the subjects.
Presentations of work and exercises It includes the joint elaboration in the Virtual Classroom and, where appropriate, the virtual defense of the requested works and exercises according to the defense procedures established in the teaching guides.
Seminars It includes face-to-face or virtual assistance to small group sessions, dedicated to specific topics of each subject.

Directed work: Student-tutor interaction (Virtual Classroom)

Tutorials They allow direct interaction between teacher and student for the resolution of doubts and individualized advice on different aspects of the subjects.
Presentations of proposed works and exercises It includes the individual elaboration, presentation and, where appropriate, virtual defense of the requested works and exercises, in accordance with the defense procedures established in the teaching guides.

Directed work: Autonomous work of the student

Individual autonomous work activities (Study of the Lesson) Individual work of the materials used in the subjects, although supported by the resolution of doubts and knowledge construction through a forum enabled for these purposes. This activity will be the basis for the development of debates, problem solving, etc.
Practical application activities (individual) It includes the individual work in the resolution of problems, elaboration of projects and similar activities that allow to apply the conceptual, procedural and attitudinal aspects worked in other parts of the subject.
Critical reading, analysis and research These are activities in which the student approaches the different fields of study with a critical view that allows an approach to research. For example, book reviews or criticism of articles and research projects are included.

The student chooses the following evaluation system, according to his personal situation and training needs:

Continuous evaluation + "final evaluation"

60% of the final grade is obtained through the activities that are raised during the course and that will be valued in “continuous evaluation”; The completion by the student of these activities will be subject to a verification check by the teachers.

The remaining 40% of the final grade will be obtained from the final Master Project that will be done at the end of the course.

This master's degree is issued by the AVILA CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY and has 60 ECTS Credits ( 1200 teaching hours).
